Mark Jensen – New CEO for MTR’s Nordic business

MTR, which operates the Stockholm Metro, Stockholm commuter railway (Pendeltåg), and MTR Express open access services between Stockholm and Gothenburg, has appointed Mark Jensen as its new CEO for the Nordic region.

With more than 20 years’ experience from the retail and FMCG sectors, Mark will now bring his customer service expertise to the public transport industry.

Mark Jensen has had a successful international career and has a demonstrated ability to successfully open up new markets and tender for and develop new businesses. His latest employment was with Carlsberg Breweries as CEO Carlsberg Sweden and in a global role as SVP with focus on new business expansion in global big cities.

Mark will report to Jeremy Long, CEO-European Business, MTR Corporation.  Jeremy also oversees MTR’s UK business, which includes operating TfL Rail services and South Western Rail, and potential future European markets.
